ABOUT
Janai Rodriguez's artistic journey began during their high school years with the creation of 'One Liners', a unique form of art characterized by the use of a continuous line, drawn with acrylic paint or paint markers, without any breaks or intersections. This organic technique provides a meditative experience for Janai, serving as a means of slowing down and achieving mindfulness.
Janai's main objective is to impart a similar experience to their audience through the creation of these free-flowing pieces. Unlike conventional drawings, 'One Liners' are not pre-planned or sketched, allowing Janai to tap into their creativity and follow their inspiration in real-time. The result is a truly authentic expression of Janai's artistic vision, characterized by its seamless, dynamic nature.
Janai Rodriguez is a self taught abstract artist from New Jersey. In 2017, she was diagnosed with depression and anxiety, but with the help of therapy and the discovery of fluid art, she was able to combat her mental illness. It wasn’t until March of 2018 did Janai decide to concentrate on trying to make “art” her life, her career.
Although Janai believes experimenting with different mediums is important, her current style is what she likes to call “One Liners”. She draws one continuous line that never touches or crosses itself. A truly organic and meditative form of art that is sure to captivate every time.
